testing, testing...

Finally trying out this Dreamwidth thing, including crossposting to lj. So far, typing into the white box hasn't caused any fatal electric shocks, which is all to the good.

Also, today I am 32, which is pretty cool. When I was 16 or so, I'd read a LOT of crap (*cough*Anne Rice*) that involved various supernatural beings with immortality, and was struck by how many felt it mandatory to make the leap to never-aging in the late teens (which I could tell them right then sucked kabanos, what with the baby fat and the hormones and the more pores than not giving Vesuvius a run for its money) or at most very early twenties, in order to preserve the "peak of beauty" or whatnot. After much thought, I decided 32 was the best age to go immortal - young enough, what with physical health and energy and openness to new things, but old enough to know who I was, not spend my undeath constantly being carded, and get some damn respect from the whippersnappers.

So, here I am at that best age, yay!

...I just should have put some effort into figuring out the "how" of the "become immortal."
