Aw thanks! I'm glad posting this was a good idea - have felt bad about that cliffhanger (which I really thought I'd resolve soon after) for literally years now, but I just had such a block.
A classmate of mine once summed up the creative process really well (for me, anyway) - she said that writing often made her unhappy, because what she produced never lived up to even a minimal standard of quality and she obsessively worked to improve it in a state of mortal embarrassment. But not writing felt worse. I really envy people who have confidence in their work and produce like mad, throwing it out to the world with pride, but I wonder if they’re missing out on the development that crippling self-doubt can sometimes lead to. Sour grapes, om nom nom :D
